Tips for creating this animal craft:

These bears are very simple. But here are some tips to help you along the way.

  • If cutting out the eyes is too difficult for your little ones you can easily just draw them on with a black marker.
  • If you are trying to create this craft quickly, pre-cut your circles.
  • Let kids play with the different sizes of circles. They can make a giant polar bear or a bunch of tiny polar bear cubs!
  • Make different kinds of bears. Swap out the white paper and make a black or brown bear.
  • Young children may need help creating the rectangle used to make this a 3D papercraft. You may need to assist them.
  • We used construction paper, but you can use white printer paper if that’s what you have.
  • Use a piece of painter’s tape to secure the paint palette to the table. This will help keep the white paint in one place.
  • Play around with different ways to create this fun polar bear craft.
    • Maybe make the ears out of cotton balls
    • Use puffy paint to draw the mouth.
    • Use googly eyes instead of paper.
