- Use them to learn about a particular artist or technique.
- Give them as gifts to family members and friends
- Experiment with color mixing.
- Put them in a fun fairy garden
Our Favorite Rock Painting Supplies.
Having good supplies is essential in rock painting. While not each of these items is used in a craft below, they are all staples in our craft bin.
- Rocks – It may sound simple, but not everyone can grab rocks from nature (and there are a lot of places you shouldn’t remove rocks from.) Grab some smooth stones or another perfect rock for your art project.
- Acrylic Paints – This type of paint is not as safe on clothes, but it does work well on rocks.
- Paint Pens or paint markers – They may be more expensive, but they are the best for kids and beginners. Plus they have a great shelf life and are easy to clean up.
- Sealers – You don’t want to go through all the work of painting a rock and then forget to seal it!
