This year, while I was prepping for our annual garage sale, I pulled out my piles of price sticker packs. You know, the ones that you get from the store for a couple of bucks. They’re pre-printed with prices…but they kind of suck. My pile consisted of 562,000 pages of stickers that have $20 on them and nothing else. Instead of heading to the store to buy yet another pack of stickers, I’m making a Printable Garage Sale Kit.
I typed out some stickers and some display signs. So now, I just need to buy a pack of labels and print out whatever I need!
How I used the Printable Garage Sale Kit
This year I put the kids’ clothes on the middle table. I had Little Miss’ clothes on one side and Mr. Monster’s on the other.
I taped a couple of signs from the Printable Garage Sale Kit onto a piece of a cardboard box. Boys on one side…
and girls on the other.
If you’ve read our garage sale tips, you’ll know that we’re fans of the quarter box. Some of the signs are ready to go for your quarter boxes.
There are signs for everything from electronics to linens. And they have plenty of room to add your own prices and information.
The signs weren’t even my favorite part of the Printable Garage Sale Kit. The game changer for me was the labels.
I used standard return address labels. The prices print 2 per label. Once they’re cut in half, the strips are perfect for quickly pricing all your inventory.
All this, and you can use them over and over again, year after year!
I love sitting back on sale day and letting my signs do all the work. I can great all of my customers when they walk up and answer questions about the items I’m selling…but I’m not wasting a lot of time explaining prices.
And even better…I received a ton of compliments on how organized my sale was…usually while they handed me their purchases.
