4th of July Traditions

The holidays are full of fun memories. As a child, I remember sitting at the edge of the driveway watching the neighbors light fireworks all night. As an adult, I enjoy spending the day with my kids and the night watching the sky twinkle.

Creating these family traditions is important to us. When we shared our Christmas family traditions and Valentine’s Day traditions, we knew we wanted to share our 4th of July traditions too.

Tips for our favorite 4th of July family traditions

    • Food. There is so much food that I love to eat during this holiday. But I recommend storing the food indoors. This helps to keep the bugs away and prevent the food from spoiling too quickly.
    • Crafts. Think about the ages of your kids when choosing your crafts. Also, do you plan on decorating with them or just creating them for fun. This will determine if you need to be crafting the weekend before or the day of.
    • Printables. There are a lot of hours before the fireworks start, and poppers only entertain for so long. We love grabbing some fun printables to help pass the time.
