I am officially counting down the hours until V turns two… I don’t think that I’m ready mentally to have my baby turn two years old. I know for sure that I am not physically ready because I have so much to do before her party!!! One thing that I Do have ready is a Summer Selfie Booth.
Since V’s birthday is June 21st, the First Day of Summer, we are having a Summer Theme party. Flowers, butterflies, watermelon, and more. I promise to share all the fun once it is over… Until then I thought I would share with you one of the activities we have planned. Catering to a younger crowd of kids can be tricky. So I focused on something she loved to do… dress up! She also Loves to get her picture taken so I put that together and decided to create this fun activity for her Summer Party!
Creating your own Summer Selfie Booth
A fun sign! I made mine in just a couple minutes. I wanted it to look like weathered outdoor white wood. Just take a piece of cardboard, trim the edges a bit, add some texture lines with painters tape, paint it white, and then remove the painters tape.Add a great hashtag or title. Example #1stSummerSelfie!
You need some sort of background. I used a tablecloth here. The fence would have worked fine too.And of course props!!
I found a few at party city, a few things I had around the house, and I ordered a couple of things on amazon. You get this lovely sneak peek because I wanted to figure out where to put it, and of course to take a few selfies! You can follow along on our Instagram to check out more #1stSummerSelfie pics. Use the hashtag on a few of your own!! Don’t forget June 20th is the first Official day of summer, so start it off right with a little summer fun!
