Christmas Gift Labels

We have shared a few ways to decorate this template before. You can create lovely ornaments for your tree or pass out as gifts, but you can also use it to create fun Christmas gift labels!

There are so many ways you can decorate these. Today we will share 4 with you!

Supplies to create holiday gift tags:

• Template.
• Scissors.
• Glue Stick.
• Hole Punch.
• Yarn/String.
  • Design One: Ink Pads & Pencils (with new erasers).
  • Design Two: Ink Pads & Foam Brush/Sponge.
  • Design Three: Glitter Glue, cotton swabs, & Tape.
  • Design Four: Pastels, cotton swabs, & Tape.

How to use our holiday gift templates

Here is step by step instructions for 4 ideas.  Watch the video below to get even more inspiration!

Print off your template and cut out as many designs as you want. You will need a plain circle and shape for each gift label.

Use the guide in the center of the shape to cut out the shape from the center.

Next, it’s time to pick your decorating design!

Holiday gift labels using ink pads

Using your pencils eraser stamp polka-dots all over the full circle part of your ornament.

They can cover it from edge to edge using as many dots and colors as they like! You can also grab a foam brush or sponge for a different look!

When your bottom circle is decorated attach your shape, ink side down, using your glue stick.

Glitter Tags

Attach your circle to your workspace so it doesn’t slide around. Then tape down the shape on top of the circle. Use glitter glue and trace around the outside of your shape. Using a cotton swab pull the glitter into the center, dragging it onto the circle below.

Take off the top layer and allow the glitter glue to dry.

Once dry you can place the template back down and add a second color or coat if you want!

Pastel Tags

Attach your circle to your workspace so it doesn’t slide around. Then tap down your shape layer on top. Create dots around the edge of your shape with soft pastels.

Using a cotton swab pull the color onto the circle below.

Make sure to use a fresh cotton swab for each color. Repeat if desired then pull the top layer off. Spritz the top of your tag with a light coat of hairspray (from a good distance so you don’t soak it) to help keep the pastels from smearing.

Finishing up your Christmas labels

 Once everything is dry punch a hole near the top of your shape.

Next, add some yarn or string.

Finally, don’t forget to add To: & From: on the back!

Fun Christmas gift wrapping ideas

Finding fun gift wrap is one of my favorite parts of Christmas shopping. I know that people are just going rip it off, but it’s a fun tradition that I’ve been doing for years.  This year I found inspiration in a role of twine strung with red and green wooden beads.  The twine itself seemed like a little much, but the beads got me thinking.I love how simple this idea was to pull off.Plus, you could change up the beads for something brighter and have a whole new look!I personally love the more rustic looking wrapping paper.  It matches with my rustic Christmas garland.

How I created my Christmas gift wrap

For the is gift wrap, start with some simple brown wrapping paper.  Add some red and green twine.  Quick tip, don’t wrap the twine all the way around the box.  It saves on twine and it makes it easier for people to unwrap your gifts.Next, tie on another string of twine and string it with beads.  Finally, string on a gift tag and you’re done!  Super simple!As much as I love pretty gift wrap, it has to be easy.  Otherwise, it isn’t worth it.  If you liked this gift wrap, you should check out the Christmas gift wrapping from last year.  It was simple, fun, and inexpensive.

Christmas Gift Wrap Idea

I feel like I’m in the Christmas spirit earlier this year than normal.

I blame Costco…I’m still kicking myself for missing out on an Anna doll for Little Miss last year… all because I was refusing to buy Christmas presents before Thanksgiving.

This year, as the presents started showing up, weeks ago, I made sure I didn’t miss out.  And I’ve been on Christmas mode ever since.

I always like pretty matching presents. I love how these turned out and it really was an Easy Christmas gift wrap.

Easy gift wrapping idea

This simple holiday gift wrap is easy, inexpensive, and it actually matched some of my other Christmas decorations!  They look so fancy… but they do not cost much and do not take that much longer than a normal wrapping job.

You don’t need much to pull off this beautiful Christmas gift wrap.

Just start with a simple white roll of wrapping paper. Add some inexpensive red ribbon. Finally, tie on a few cheap ornaments…you know the ones that you can get 12 for a dollar.

If you have a color theme for your tree you can bring them down onto your gifts!

I know what you’re thinking…who has time for that?!?!   It’s one of my Christmas traditions.  A big glass of wine, an old Christmas movie, surrounded by gifts and supplies.

I can usually knock them all out in one night.

And, if I’m being honest, I spend more time making sure the corners are neat than tying ribbons.

Anyone can pull off this Christmas gift wrap! This simple addition is so much easier than tying the perfect bow.

The kids love them and all of the presents look so beautiful under the tree with the lights sparkling off the bulbs.
