An Indoor Sports Party for My Birthday Boy

You know how much we love to throw fun parties! Sometimes planning for the older boys can be harder. This year we decided to plan a sports-themed birthday party. The catch… it was winter and we had to stay inside. We ended up having a blast planning this fun indoor sports party. This indoor sports party is sure to be a hit! With an activity for football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. A great birthday party theme for all ages.

We wanted to cover all of his favorite sports.

Football•Basketball•Baseball•Soccer

You can grab all of the printables we used for this party here!

Indoor Sports Party Football – Paper Football:

Here I took a page from my middle school days. The boys always loved to play paper football! For this, I created a fun football field to make it more “official”. Paper Football Fields. This indoor sports party is sure to be a hit! With an activity for football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. A great birthday party theme for all ages.

Then added some field goal posts. I made enough that the kids could take these home.

All you need are a few popsicle sticks, glue, & yellow paint. Click here for a quick video! These also doubled as a fun football decoration! This indoor sports party is sure to be a hit! Field Goal Posts. With an activity for football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. A great birthday party theme for all ages.

Indoor Sports Party Basketball – Dizzy Blind Basketball

This one was easy to set up. Almost like a new take on pin the tail on the donkey. Just like it sounds. Blindfolded, they were spun in circles, and then they took three shots. Make sure you clear the space of any breakables because this one got wild! Based on their age was how many spins. It was a lot of fun! This indoor sports party is sure to be a hit! Dizzy Blind Basketball. With an activity for football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. A great birthday party theme for all ages.

Indoor Sports Party Baseball – An Autographed Baseball Souvenir:

This was more simple. Place the sign, the ball, and a few pens somewhere your guest will see when they arrive. Signed by all of his friends & family this made a great party souvenir for our birthday boy. The kids felt pretty cool leaving their autograph too. This indoor sports party is sure to be a hit! Baseball Autograph. With an activity for football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. A great birthday party theme for all ages.

Indoor Sports Party  Soccer – Mini Marshmallow Soccer:

We didn’t want to worry about balls flying around so we shrunk it down. Just print out and assemble these small paper goals. Add a bowl of marshmallows and you are good to go!This indoor sports party is sure to be a hit! Mini Marshmallow Soccer. With an activity for football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. A great birthday party theme for all ages.

We added a tape line for them to “kick” from. They flicked, rolled, and slid the balls in the goals. Everyone had a different technique.

The dog took care of most of the cleanup… Who knew dogs like marshmallows too!!

Keeping the Score:

We had to keep track of all of the points somehow…Indoor sports party scoreboard. This indoor sports party is sure to be a hit! With an activity for football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. A great birthday party theme for all ages.

For this, we printed off a few sheets of jerseys. I had them all pre-cut and lying on the table with plenty of pens and markers for the kids to choose from. This was a great activity for them to do as we waited for all of the guests to arrive. When they finished they placed them up on the scorecard.

This party was a Blast!! I even overheard, and I quote, “best party ever” from the birthday boy himself. I had set the bar high from his ninja turtle party last year so I was glad that he enjoyed it!

Do you have a sports-themed party to throw? Why not start off by grabbing these Printables!
