Pepper Oil Drizzled Hummus Bites

I know, I know the first thing you think of when you hear Drizzle is,  it’s what Snoop Dogg needs an umbrella for….. right?!?! Maybe that’s just me…     Anyways….

This is one of those recipes that has minimal ingredients, but will wow your taste buds (and your guests). You can make one, two, or all three of these Pepper Oils to Drizzle onto delicious (and healthy) Hummus Bites.

The first in this Trio of Pepper Oils starts with one on the spicy side.

Jalapeno Pepper Oil

Take 2 medium sized jalapenos, 2 cloves of garlic, 3T extra virgin olive oil, and 2 pinches of salt.
I always use a bag to hold my peppers, can never be too careful with little ones in the house.

I use my bullet pieces on my Ninja to blend until smooth.

The second Pepper Oil is a medium heat.

Banana Pepper Oil

Half a cup of pickled Banana Peppers, 2 cloves garlic, 2T extra virgin olive oil, 2 pinches of salt, and a couple shakes of turmeric for color.
Always pat dry the peppers so the oil doesn’t get watery.
Again blend all ingredients together.

The last in the trio is a mild oil.

Roasted Red Pepper Oil

2 roasted red peppers, 2 cloves of garlic, 2T extra virgin olive oil, and 2 pinches of salt.
Make sure to pat the peppers with a paper towel to get rid of any extra liquid.
Blend until smooth.

Now its time to make your bites!

Put hummus on pita chip and drizzle with Pepper Oil.
Or hummus drizzled with Pepper Oil on cucumber slices.
Mix and match them together for a colorful and healthy appetizer platter.
Expecting a larger crowd?
You could also set it up as a serve yourself appetizer too!

We eat a lot of hummus in our house so making one of these quick Pepper Oils to drizzle on top adds a burst of flavor and color when you want to change it up a bit.
Any bite that can be

  Tasty & Healthy

is a win win in our house.
