Cleaning out the Freezer… into Beautiful Flavored AppleSauce

So we have officially started the PCS (permanent change of station) process. One of the last things I did before leaving the house was to use up as much of the food as possible, starting with the freezer. So here’s a quick food muse for you today.

Flavored AppleSauce

Now I have to explain this picture a bit… I don’t normally put my applesauce in such pretty containers. I usually don’t dirty containers for a picture! I had these serving dishes way up on a top shelf in my cupboard. I tell myself all of the time, if I haven’t used it in the last year… why move it again. So they have officially be Used!!

If your like me, applesauce is pretty much a staple in our home. So it is nice to mix it up from time to time. Lots of the store bough flavors are packed with funky fake flavors and colors etc.

Start with some AppleSauce.
Get out some frozen fruit…

…put it together…
…and blend.
That’s it! I use these little bullet sized pieces from my Ninjablender kit.
I’m so proud of this pic here it is again!
Starting with the pink going clockwise.
Raspberry, Apple, Cinnamon, Blueberry, and Mango.
The kids really loved the change up in flavors. I used a different flavor each day in J’s lunch.
What flavors will you be making?
